NEW Functionality – likely release date - 8th March 2022
We are changing the way the system functions with regards to credit card errors on the Checkout and Pay screen in thru. (Errors with the input of the credit card or invalid payment types).
Currently, if there is an issue with the payment method, a 'system' error message is issued, and this creates a ticket to the Support site and creates an open activity in bond. As you can see this messaging is quite general and doesn’t specifically explain that it’s an error with the credit card.
Current functionality:
The new feature will provide you with improved clarity on this messaging, confirming that the error is with the payment method, not just a 'system error'. Customers will see this too if they are purchasing without broker assistance.

This also means, going forward, that if you do receive an error message when at Checkout and Pay (either as a broker/user or if the customer is doing it) its likely there is a bug/system error. These will come through to Support in the same way as they currently do and will be investigated by our Support team to be fixed.
This updated messaging provides clarity between a system error/bug and payment method validations.
