Christmas/New Year- Office Closure

 

 

 

We are off on December 26th and January 2nd for the statutory holidays and will be working with skeleton staff from December 27th to 30th. If you have a technical emergency (i.e. you’re unable to do business) during those times, please submit your needs to [email protected], with URGENT in the subject line, and one of our team members will get back to you.

What’s New and Improved?

 

 

 

Updates to Bond

  • Activity Action Feature - Deployed December 5th 
    • Controlled by Permissions 
    • Provided users with the ability to Force Close and Reopen activities.
    • Full information on this and how it works can be found in our bulletin here: New Activity Action options 

 

  • Error Payments - Deployed November 17th
    • This enhancement relates to the way that the platform handles failed payments when the response received back from the payment processor is ERROR. 
    • We create an open activity for the broker, in the Customer Care section, providing a reason code for the Error. 
    • The system automates an email to the customer with the relevant information.

Updates to Thru

  • Improved Font
    • We have improved the visibility of the "manually enter address" field in the Thru funnel, by increasing the font.

 

 

Updates to Black

  • Improvements to AP Reconciliations
    • We have adjusted the timing in the AP reconciliation to ensure that transactions will not appear in this feature, until the Underwriter approval is received or it is no longer pending,

Tips and Tricks

 

 

 

Why can't I change the customer's mailing address when pending renewal?

Given a policy has been renewed but is not yet effective (Pending Renewal) then the Customer Profile section cannot be amended. You will see the red verbiage when you are trying to amend. This is intended behaviour of the platform and you must wait until after the renewal date to make changes. 

 

How can I re-assign activities from a former employee?

Given an employee has been deactivated, their activities will be become unassigned in the Activity Overview Screen where you can assign accordingly. 

 

How can I close an activity? 

As long as you have Admin permissions by your Digital Champion, you can now close an open activity by clicking the actions button (3 dots) in the Activity Panel and in the dropdown choose "Override Close". This will close the activity. 

 

My customer is saying they have not received the email with the Application for Insurance (AFI), what can I do?

First thing to do is confirm the email is correct by checking their client profile in Bond. If not, you can edit and correct it by clicking the pencil icon in the top, right corner. They can also check their "junk" email. You can then resend the AFI from the activity by clicking the actions icon.

What are the options on paying referral fee?

The referrals fees to be paid are configured at the code level – you can pick a flat fee, % of premium, or % of commissions.

 

How do I know when there is a postal code lockout?

When a lockout occurs and the activity appears in bond, there is now a detailed description of the lockout, (and who created the lockout), to assist in explaining to your customers.

Ugly Christmas Sweater and Cookie Exchange

 

To kick off our Mission Control we decided to make it a festive event by wearing ugly Christmas sweaters and having a cookie exchange. We think our team looks pretty good and the cookies were yummy, apparently we are good bakers too!
