As there is no API connection between the platform and Manual Product policies, you will need to action some parts of the process within the insurer portal or email, or whatever the process is with the insurer that you are looking to action the registered letter with.

• Select the Reg Letter icon on the right-hand panel.
• Choose a Cancellation reason.
• Submit.

The status of the policy changes to pending registered letter cancellation and is reflected in various parts of the customer profile, shown here: 

**At this point you should contact the insurer to request the registered letter to be issued and sent (eg: via their portal/email or whatever the process is with that insurer)**

**Once you know that the insurer has processed the cancellation registered letter and sent the documents to you and the customer, you can continue with the process of registered letter cancellation**

• Go back to the Reg Letter icon and select again.
• The screen opens but with different fields to complete this time, like this:

• You will then use the content of the insurer issued registered letter to complete the above fields.
• Remember to ensure that the effective date matches the one provided by the insurer as this cannot be amended after.
• Include the Return Policy Fee and Returned Company Fee amounts, if applicable.
• It is mandatory that you attach the cancellation document issued by the insurer.
• Submit (or Close to return to the previous page/bond).

The Status on the customer profile screen will now be in red.

An informational activity is created, showing the email sent to the customer.
