For this process you need to be in bond.
- First, search for the customer using the Search bar - if they do not currently have a customer profile, select Add new customer, shown here:
- A new screen opens as shown below, asking the type of customer that you want to add:
Individual customer
or
Business customer
Please ensure that you select the correct option to start the policy creation process, or that you use the appropriate type of profile for the customer. For example, if you create an individual profile, like John Smith, then start the creation process using business details, you will receive an error message when you are trying to check out and pay and you will not be able to proceed.
To ensure that the failure does not occur, ensure that you use a personal/individual profile for the personal/individual policies and create a new Business customer for their business policies or those in a Business name. In the example we gave, John Smith would have his personal auto and home under his Individual name (if that's how he owns/registers them) and his Business policies under a Business profile, which is separate.
- Make your choice and the 'Tell us about your customer' tab opens.
- Complete the fields shown:
- Selecting Save (shown above) will save that customer and you will be taken to their Customer profile screen in bond.
Here are some of the functions that you can perform, from that profile screen:
- From the customer profile screen, shown above, you can use the + Add New to create your quote.
- This is also the feature that you would use if the customer already has the profile or other policies and quotes in the platform.
